His work in technology transfer is based on research performed at the IC2 Institute at the University of Texas of Austin. He has twenty years experience in high technology ventures in fields including medical imaging, information security, educational technology and telecommunications.

Radek Špicar is a Charles University and Cambridge graduate. He spent study time at Georgetown and Harvard Universities. He is currently Director of External Relations at Škoda Auto. Previously, he served as Deputy Vice -Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Czech Republic. In his present role, he is responsible for external relations with public institutions at a national and European level, structural funds and the Corporate Social Responsibility concept. Mr. Špicar also lectures at the Institute of Economic Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague and at the Diplomatic Academy Prague.

Dr. Jaroslav Burcik is the director of the CTU’s Centre for Business Cooperation and was recently appointed the director of the Business and Innovation Centre of CTU (starting December 2009), which operates the business incubator and manages CTU’s technology transfer activities. He is the author of three major projects that were approved for EU financing and heavily contributed to introducing tech transfer principles to the CTU.
